About
Treat yourself to an inspiring and refreshing ceramic and 3D wall art experience. Andrew Dowden's unique and distinctive sculptural ceramics and wall art painted in oils will be at shown at Quarr Abbey Art Gallery.
Textured surfaces are Andrew's main interest, his work inspired by landscapes and seascapes across the Island - tracks made by man, machine, and by nature, leaving their imprint on the earth. His interest in engineering and machinery, history and archaeology add a further edge to designs.
Andrew will be in attendance throughout the exhibition and will be happy to chat with visitors about his work. A percentage of all exhibition sales goes to Quarr Abbey, a registered charity.
The exhibition is open 10am to 5pm, from Thursday, 22nd August to Tuesday, 27th August. Admission is free.
Venue information: Large free car park, disabled access, WCs, visitor centre, farm shop, book shop, tearoom and gardens, old abbey ruins nearby, landscaped grounds and walks. Free entry to exhibition, grounds and abbey church.
