About

Browns Golf is an historic golf course designed by Sir Henry Cotton (multiple Open Championship winner) and is home to the World War II Operation Pluto pump house which helped fuel D-day landings.

Families and friends have been enjoying golf at Browns since 1932. There is a 18 hole course (short putting), a 18 hole course (long putting) and a 12 hole pitch and putt course. There is something for everyone whether you want a leisurely round of golf or if you want it to be more competitive.

A licensed café provides light refreshments including cream teas, toasties, bacon rolls and there is a selection of hot drinks. There is a large indoor seating area and outdoor seating with views of the golf courses as well as rolling countryside beyond. Or enjoy your refreshments on the outside seating area around the front of Browns watching the world go by with a sea view.

There are also many events at Browns including quiz nights, live music - check out the events on Facebook.

The cafe is a great venue to book a party, wedding reception, business meeting or any other social gathering.

Road Directions

From East Cowes ferry, second exit at roundabout onto Well Road, A3021, A3054 to Newport, A3020 to Sandown, A3056 to Lake, A3055 to Sandown.

From Fishbourne ferry, B3339 (Fishbourne lane), A3054 to Ryde (Esplanade), straight along the Esplanade to the boating lake, follow the road round to the right onto A3055 to Sandown.

From Yarmouth ferry, A3054 to Newport, A3020 to Sandown, A3056 to Lake, A3055 to Sandown.
