About St Helens

St Helens is a village located on the eastern side of the Isle of Wight. There are five village greens which are used for cricket matches during the summer and football in the winter and also include a children's playground. The local pub is the Vine Inn, which caters for families and serves good pub food. The village also has three restaurants, Ganders on the Upper Green Road, Dan's Kitchen on the Lower Green Road and Baywatch on the Beach on the waterfront at St Helens Duver.

The village is a ten-minute walk to the Duver - go via the causeway! - which is a family friendly beach with rock pools and beach huts. Water sports and bicycle hire are available from the excellent team at Tackt-Isle. Horse riding on the beach, deep sea fishing charters from the harbour are also available locally and there are many lovely walks on the beaches or inland.

St Helens is linked to other parts of the island by bus route 8 serving Ryde, Bembridge, Sandown and Newport.
