Our modern and bright self-catering accommodation is set across a range of cottages, a Victorian Dairy barn conversion and a detached modern ranch style-bungalow, we have been awarded 4* Rosette awarded by Visit England for our accommodation.

For horse riding enthusiasts or first timers we have unrivalled equestrian facilities on the Island for beach and trail, indoor and outdoor horse-riding opportunities and tuition.

We have a gated safari camp perfect for large group glamping get-togethers with an option of exclusive hire.

Set in 40 acres of countryside on the outskirts of Newport, Island Riding Centre’s location in the middle of the Island make it easy to get to by car and public transport (the no 9 bus from Newport to Ryde stops outside), it is 20 mins away from local beaches and close to Island attractions. Onsite you’ll find rescued sheep, lambs and chickens, the horses graze in fields surrounding the accommodation with lovely onsite walks should you need to stretch your legs. If you’d like to learn to ride with us or have an advanced hack then we can offer the equestrian facilities, beach and trail rides and activity clubs to guests – please book in advance as during the holidays these sell out!

Our range of accommodation sleeps from 2 to 12 people or larger groups of up to 60 plus if booking multiple units. 

Self catering bungalow and cottages:
The Orchard, a 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom ranch style bungalow with huge open plan living area that caters for groups of up to 12 and features gardens on all sides with a large patio with built in seating area with fire pit for watching the glorious sun sets while the horses graze in fields around you.

A range of 3 and 4 bedroom cottages sit around landscaped gardens and incorporate ‘eco-friendly’ features such as solar panels, rain-water harvesting and electric car charging points free for guests. 

Two further dog friendly cottages in a dairy barn conversion with period features and large enclosed gardens make up the choice of accommodation.

Holiday stabling and 5* livery is available for guests wanting to bring their horse on holiday too and excursions to a choice of beach and trail rides are available on request.

Safari Tents:
Set in a gated safari camp surrounded by fields of grazing horses and local wildlife, this glamping experience is a must for all family members. The kids can run wild while you chill on the safari tent deck with a glass of something cold, there is a communal firepit perfect for cook-ups or a wood-fire pizza oven. The spacious safari tents sleep up to 8 with real wooden furniture and a comfy King Sized bed, the living area is furnished with big sofas and electric lights throughout, not one but 2 shower rooms and a gas hob and fridge. 

There is a separate washing up tent with seating and you are close to the onsite play area and Café serving barista coffee.

Accessible holidays:
We offer limited mobility and wheelchair-friendly accommodation with a minimum of Mobility Level M1 for people with sufficient mobility to climb a flight of steps but would benefit from support to aid balance. 

Four of our units are Mobility Level M2 for people with restricted walking ability and for those that need to use a wheelchair from time to time and can negotiate a maximum of three steps. These units have a downstairs bedroom and a large wet room with accessible WC and optional grab rails and shower wheelchair. 

One of our holiday units is Mobility Level 3 Independent which provides facilities for a person who maybe an independent traveller. This unit has a purpose built kitchen with a sink and hob that are height adjustable and a side opening oven with resting shelf that is suitable for a wheelchair user. This unit also has a large downstairs bedroom with king size bed accessible from either side and emergency pull cord alarms in both this bedroom and a downstairs wet room. This wet room includes an accessible WC and sink with grab rails and optional shower wheelchair. 

Not only is the accommodation accessible but horse riding is as well. There is equipment for everyone to take part in riding which includes a standard access ramp to aid the mounting of a horse, a Martello mounting block that allows two helpers to assist either side of a rider and a fully automated hoist capable of lifting a wheelchair user straight from the chair onto a horse. 

Dog friendly holidays - we also have dog-friendly houses too.

We also welcome our four legged friends on site too, so give your horse a riding holiday to remember! Whilst we have a range of facilities for horse riders on site, we welcome non-horse riding guests too.

Close to the holiday accommodation is a children’s play area and café.
