Discover the lives of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert's nine children at Swiss Cottage. This is where the royal children played, gardened, cooked and collected unusual objects. Wander in between the children's vegetable plots outside of the cottage and discover the outside play area.

Explore the gardens and grounds at Osborne

There are extensive grounds at Osborne to enjoy with stunning views across the Solent. Wander through the Victorian walled garden that offers a place to relax and discover the seasonal colour throughout the year and exotic plants in the hothouses.

There are plenty of scenic spots within the grounds of Osborne to enjoy a picnic, whether you prefer a quiet shaded corner beneath the trees, a sunny spot with views of the house and gardens or a place overlooking the sea.  

Discover Queen Victoria's private beach

Queen Victoria regularly bathed at her private beach at Osborne and this is where the royal children learnt to swim. Explore the beach whether it's a walk along the sandy and shingle shore or a swim in the sea. Relax on the beach with an ice cream or hot drink from the cafe. 

Eat like a Queen or King!

Dine at Osborne and enjoy a meal or afternoon tea in the elegant Terrace Restaurant. Or enjoy a light lunch or snack at the cafe in the Petty Officers' Quarters, next door to the gift shop.
