Social Media Competition Terms and Conditions

Winners will be contacted by the official Visit Isle of Wight Facebook or Instagram page only, and will be notified by their entry into the competition that they have won. 

The prize is non-transferrable and there is no cash alternative. 

If prize is not claimed by midnight on Wednesday 12th October 2022, we reserve the right to withdraw and a new winner will be drawn on Thursday 13th October 2022.

Travel with Red Funnel:

• Ticket includes Red Funnel return ferry travel from Southampton-East Cowes for one private vehicle and up to 7 passengers, subject to ferry availability.
• If you are not bringing a vehicle, return foot passenger travel from Southampton-East Cowes or West Cowes can be offered as an alternative.
• Return travel dates 27th and 29th October as per conditions of the prize.
• Prize is non-transferable and has no cash value.
• Red Funnel’s standard terms and conditions of carriage apply.

Accommodation with Luccombe Manor:

• Only valid for accommodation on Thursday 27th and Friday 28th October 2022.
• Check in 3pm but welcome to arrive early and make use of the facilities
• Check out 11am, again welcome to use hotel facilities after this time as long as we have the bedroom back.
• Stay will be on a bed and breakfast basis and includes use of all the leisure facilities at adjoining Luccombe Hall Hotel.

Meal at The Cow at Tapnell:

• 1 table booked for x4 People at The Cow: Friday 28th October 7pm (time and date could be amended, subject to availability at The Cow) 
• Includes a main meal (*Excluding specials board)
• Includes first round of drinks
• Includes donut/Ice Cream

English Heritage:

• English Heritage passes valid for free entry for one family (two adults and up to two children) to Carisbrooke and Osborne only.
• Passes can only be used once. 
• Passes are valid only from 27th-29th October 2022. 
• Passes are valid for daytime admission only. 

Please note:

• The Competition is not open to employees or agencies of Visit Isle of Wight Ltd ("VIOW"), their group companies or family members or anyone else connected to the Competition.
• By entering this competition and accepting the prize, you agree to VIOW passing your contact details to partners offering prizes in order for them to contact you about claiming the prize.
• VIOW retains the right to substitute the prize with another prize of similar value in the event the original prize offered is not available.
• The winner may be required for promotional activity.
• Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude the liability of VIOW for death, personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation as a result of its negligence.
• VIOW accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the Competition or accepting the prize. VIOW further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to your or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the competition.
• VIOW reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently end this Competition with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud, supervening/intervening legislation). The decision of VIOW in all matters under its control is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
• VIOW shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening/intervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.
• The Competition will be governed by English law.
