A well-presented semi-detached bungalow situated in the beautiful rural village of Havenstreet, just outside Ryde on the Isle of Wight.
With fantastic countryside views and spacious accommodation, the cottage is ideal for families or groups of friends who wish to explore the island.
Upon entering the cottage, guests are greeted by a large open plan living room with a cosy sitting area where guests can relax in front of the welcoming woodburning stove after a day of adventure. The kitchen provides all the amenities needed to serve delicious meals which can be enjoyed in the dining area or outside on the balcony. The cottage is completed by two comfortable bedrooms and a family bathroom. On warmer evenings the outside balcony area is a fabulous place to eat meals with the backdrop of stunning far reaching rural views. Relaxing whilst watching the horses in the paddocks that back onto the long garden, listening to the beautiful birdsongs, reading a book or just watching the stunning sunsets as the sun sinks behind the forest and the towers of Osbourne is all so easy. Parents can relax whilst the children play in the large lawned garden.
Located just 3 miles from Ryde, guests have an abundance of activities and amenities on their doorstep and plenty to keep the whole family occupied. Take a leisurely stroll along Ryde’s promenade, enjoy a relaxing afternoon on the beach or explore the many shops, restaurants and café’s the town has to offer.
Havenstreet is the home of the Isle of Wight Steam railway which is a short walk from the cottage. Visible from the balcony are the towers of Osborne House the royal seaside palace where Queen Victoria lived with Prince Albert and their nine children. There are a number of attractions nearby to suit all the family, including wildlife centres, sanctuary, vineyards, castle, adventure/theme parks, traditional pottery and glass making, lavender farm, garlic farm and NT homes and gardens. Visitors who love outdoor pursuits will find plenty to do exploring the extensive network of quiet country roads, footpaths, bridleways and cycle tracks. Other outdoor pursuits include birdwatching, horse riding, golf, watersports, go-carts, paintballing, sailing and fishing.
Also both children and adults will enjoy a great range of dinosaur attractions and activities available on the island, with opportunities for dinosaur and fossil enthusiasts. These include museums such as the award-winning Dinosaur Isle, fossil hunts with experts such as Dinosaur Fossil Hunts and Footprint Tours, and also beaches such as Brook and Compton where you can discover your own fossils!
