Successfully running for over 5 years; we have built a reputation for exceptional customer service, providing that personal touch. 

The property dates back to the 1700’s, offering plenty of character and charm. Kingsmede, with its fire places, old beams and wood flooring is complemented perfectly by all the comforts and facilities expected today. Offering twin or double ensuite rooms, with the option of our bunkbed room, we cater for all needs. Each room offers tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities, free Wi-Fi, T.V., D.V.D and bathrooms fitted with large walk in high-pressured showers.

We offer a tasty, freshly prepared full English breakfast. You can also help yourself to juice, cereals, fresh & dried fruit, nuts & seeds with milk and yogurt. We do cater for all dietary requirements and our aim is to provide high quality, local produce where possible, including eggs from our own chickens.

Guests can relax in our large, peacefully garden, which is home to an abundance of wildlife- our chickens, red squirrels and bats being a few of our regular residents.

Conveniently located in the historic, picturesque village of Whitwell, you will find Kingsmede an ideal place from which to explore the island. Offering great walks and cycling from our doorstep and a great dog friendly village pub, serving a large range of homecooked food only a minute or two’s walk away, you can park up the car and de-stress whilst taking in some of the most beautiful sights the island has to offer.

Further afield, just 5 minutes away by car or bus, is the quaint Victorian town of Ventnor. With many shops, bars and restaurants in the main town or down in the bay overlooking the beach.
