About

Family friendly comfortable cottages and a quirky shepherd’s hut are waiting to welcome you to stay.  You will find us on a working livestock farm in a hamlet in an Isle of Wight National Landscape (formerly known as Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). 

Dark skies for stargazing, walks to meet our animals, peace and tranquillity are found here, but our central location ensures that the many other attractions the island offers are just a short journey away.  

A short walk to the village, maybe through the woods, will bring you to the family friendly Griffin pub and the Taverners pub if you fancy a break from cooking.

Walks through the woods, fields and further afield over the Downs or along former railway tracks start from the front door. Visiting horses are also catered for. Animals include rare breed sheep, cattle, alpacas, llamas, miniature ponies, horses, dogs and poultry. You are quite likely to see red squirrels during your stay as they are frequent feeders in the garden.

Fishing in the private lake is reserved solely for our guests.

The entire site has gas central heating and free WiFi. 

Lake View - sleeps seven in two bedrooms and a sofa bed in the lounge area. This bright and spacious property is all on one level. It has a well equipped kitchen. The open plan sitting/dining room leads through onto the South facing terrace that overlooks the garden and provides far reaching countryside views. 

Pheasant Cottage - sleeps four in two bedrooms plus one on a camp bed. It's a delightful cottage and is well equipped with a fully fitted kitchen and a dining area. Relax in the sitting room that has a large bay window to enjoy the countryside views or in the double bedroom or twin bedroom. 

The Hut - for the adventurous The hut, located by the millpond, may fit the bill. It sleeps two and has a private hot shower and kitchenette that are only a stone’s throw away.

All properties are entirely non smoking. 

All cottages have ample off road car parking facilities.

Dogs - Dogs are welcome in Pheasant Cottage only.  Assistance dogs are welcome everywhere.
