About
Berryl farm Cottages are situated in an Isle of Wight National Landscape (formerly known as Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), surrounded by fields with stunning views, close to beaches, fishing lakes and only 5 minutes’ walk through the fields and across a stream, to the village dining pub. Perfect for a pretty stroll for your evening meal.
The beautifully presented, stylish cottages comprise of three x 1 bedroom stone cottages that each sleep 2 and are dog friendly. Each cottage has a living room, separate kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. There is a private secure courtyard at the back with outdoor furniture and a communal area to the front with picnic benches.
They are ideal for walking and romantic getaways and the perfect location to explore the whole of the Island. There are footpaths direct from the cottage door and within 15 minutes walk you can join the coastal footpath above St Lawrence which commands spectacular sea views. Walk for a further 15 minutes and you will reach one of the Islands dog friendly secret beaches which will often be empty, even in the height of summer.
We are situated in the fields outside Whitwell Village (5 min walk) which has a petrol station, a bus stop and a village pub. We are also just 2 miles from picturesque Niton village that has a large general store and is just a 20 min footpath walk away. Here you can also find the stunning St Catherines lighthouse and The Buddle Inn dining pub. Just under 3 miles away you will find the quirky coastal town of Ventnor with it’s excellent swimming beach and numerous places for dining out. Ventnor is often featured in the national media as a destination to head for.
The cottages are accessed by a farm track and are away from noise and light pollution and at night the stars can be seen bright and clear. A perfect base for a relaxing stay where you can do as little or as much as you like with all that the Isle of Wight has to offer.
