• Beach / Coast within walking distance - Shanklin is a 30 minute walk along the old railway line, now known as Red Squirrel trail. Once get to main road, cross over and up the steps to the station. Then follow the signs to the beach. 10-15 minute drive to Ventnor or Shanklin.

A dog sitter can be arranged given advance notice.

• Arrangements for riding/pony trekking - Nearby we have Allendale Riding stables on the main road between Godshill and Rookley, that offer riding, pony trekking.
• Clay pigeon shooting - We can arrange clay pigeon shooting if contact in advance.
• Cycle Hire - 1st call/Top Gear rent bikes and can drop off at the property.
• Eating Out Within Walking Distance - Smokin' Jacks in Wroxall (5 mins walk) is an American themed pub. Serves American type food - burgers and sliders, American beer and all things Jack Daniels. IOW Donkey Sanctuary is a charity run rescue centre. They have a cafe onsite that serves great food. Normally ask for a donation on the entrance to help with the running of the centre. Better still, why not adopt a donkey! The Taverners & Griffin in nearby Godshill (40 min walk/ 10 min bus/car) are both great village pubs that serve good traditional pub food and ales. Shanklin, Ventnor are also within 10-15 minute drive /longer walks 30-40 mins) and have choice of pubs and restaurants.
