Places to eat in Sandown

There is no shortage of places to grab a snack or an ice cream on Sandown Seafront, and the main town also has a good variety of different options ranging from traditional pub grub to world cuisines. Just outside of the main town there are also some highly rated food establishments, catering for all tastes and requirements.

Beachgoers will love the Driftwood Beach Bar and Grill, situated on Sandown Esplanade - and directly on the beach. Known for its great food, cocktails and great entertainment - the Driftwood Beach bar is a popular destination for food lovers in Sandown. The food on offer changes regularly - and there is a standard menu and a summer menu - but there is always something to suit all tastes. The bar also offer a great selection of breakfasts for early risers - and what better way to start the day than to fill up next to the beach.

If you’re looking to use up some energy before going for something to eat, you could take a walk up onto Culver Down, where you will find the Culver Haven Inn. The family run free-house pub has fantastic views across Sandown bay - as well as down towards Bembridge - where if you are lucky you might witness a plane taking off from the airport. The inn specialises in a traditional British menu, using locally sourced products to complement a wide range of fine regional beers and wines. If you are up to it, you could also complete the day by finishing the walk down towards Bembridge.

Whatever you are looking for, Sandown has plenty to choose from. Take a walk down Sandown high street to find something which suits, or down onto the Esplanade where you will find even more places to dine.
