After debuting to standing ovations at London’s Roundhouse, Tim Arnold’s new album ‘Super Connected’ finally comes to The Isle of Wight.

Starring Tim Arnold, Sarah Kershaw, with narration by Stephen Fry.

Developed with and Directed by Kate Alderton.

Produced by Nim Arnold for The Tim Arnold Company.

An innovative fusion of film, live music, and theatre about the existential ticking time bomb of social media.

Full of wit, wisdom, passion, and terror, the show chronicles one family’s encounter with addictions to technology.

When the film rolls, only a few feet away from the audience, indie rock artist and Isle of Wight Festival star Tim Arnold performs the film’s soundtrack live. With the scale of a Radiohead concert and panache of Bowie’s theatricality, Arnold acts both on stage and on screen.

Being pulled in and out of the screen by the characters as they vie for attention, Tim grapples with what connection and intimacy means in a world of digital distraction. Sometimes he is himself, sometimes he becomes the characters, sometimes he is us. Super Connected is a night out at the theatre, a rock gig and a movie all rolled into one.

Before the show, audience are invited to place their phones into a lockable pouch and experience the freedom (or discomfort) of being completely free from the digital tug of constant connectivity. After the show there is time to connect with Tim, the cast and each other in our Screenless Social.

Approx 90 minutes – No Interval
